Our Work in Progress: A Gallery of whiting construction ltd Construction Projects

    Baldwins Gate New build

The roof was constructed with a steel apex frame, where the wall plate was securely coach-bolted to the ridge. The 6x2 rafters formed a traditional roof design, creating vaulted ceilings on the third floor. The rafters were filled with 150mm insulation, followed by an additional 50mm layer to achieve excellent thermal performance and create a warm roof. The roof was then finished with handmade Staffordshire blue reclaimed tiles, adding a timeless and distinctive aesthetic to the structure.

This combination of high-quality materials and construction methods results in both durability and energy efficiency while preserving a classic look.
