Groundworks Package – 19-Plot Residential Development in Bomere Heath, Shrewsbury
This project encompassed the comprehensive groundworks package for a 19-plot residential development situated in Bomere Heath, Shrewsbury. The scope of work included all facets of infrastructure and substructure construction, starting from the initial site strip and earthworks to completion at DPC level.
Scope of Works Included:
- Full site clearance, cut and fill earthworks, and site preparation
- Installation of foul drainage and storm water drainage systems
- Construction of plot drainage, manholes, and inspection chambers
- Installation of storm water attenuation / holding tanks and soakaways
- Main road, sewer, and service connections adhering to adoptable standards
- Formation of foundations, concrete footings, and substructure brickwork up to DPC
- Supply and installation of block and beam floors
- Provision of scaffold mats, temporary access roads, and hard standings
- Construction of roads, footpaths, kerbing, and highway works
- Installation of service ducts, service trenches, and utility provisions
- All associated external works, drainage testing, and reinstatement
The project was executed within a 12-week construction programme and was completed on time, within budget, and to specification. The finished works provided a fully prepared site for the next phase of superstructure construction, ensuring compliance with all health and safety, quality, and environmental standards.
