Groundworks Package – 19-Plot Residential Development, Bomere Heath, Shrewsbury
This project involved the complete groundworks and civil engineering package for a 19-plot new build housing development located in Bomere Heath, Shrewsbury. The works covered all aspects of infrastructure and substructure construction from initial site strip and earthworks through to DPC level completion.
Scope of Works Included:
- Full site clearance, cut and fill earthworks, and site preparation
- Installation of foul drainage and storm water drainage systems
- Construction of plot drainage, manholes, and inspection chambers
- Installation of storm water attenuation / holding tanks and soakaways
- Main road, sewer, and service connections to adoptable standards
- Formation of foundations, concrete footings, and substructure brickwork up to DPC
- Supply and installation of block and beam floors
- Provision of scaffold mats, temporary access roads, and hard standings
- Construction of roads, footpaths, kerbing, and highway works
- Installation of service ducts, service trenches, and utility provisions
- All associated external works, drainage testing, and reinstatement
The project was delivered under a 12-week construction programme and was successfully completed on time, on budget, and to specification. The completed works provided a fully prepared site ready for superstructure construction, meeting all health and safety, quality, and environmental standards.
