At Whiting Construction Ltd, the health, safety, and wellbeing of our workforce, clients, and the public are at the core of everything we do. We operate with a strict commitment to construction compliance, safety, quality, and environmental responsibility across all projects throughout Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Shropshire, and the Midlands.

We adhere to robust Health & Safety Management Systems that align with HSE guidelines, CDM Regulations 2015, and all relevant Building and Environmental Standards. Our aim is simple — to deliver every project safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Training & Competence

Our team is fully trained, certified, and competent to perform all aspects of groundworks, civil engineering, and construction safely. All site operatives hold valid CSCS or CPCS cards. Plant operators are qualified through NPORS or CPCS accreditation. Supervisors and managers are SMSTS/SSSTS trained. Regular toolbox talks, safety briefings, and refresher training ensure continuous improvement.

Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS)

Before any works commence, detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are completed for every task. These are communicated clearly to our teams to ensure risks are identified, mitigated, and controlled. We also provide site-specific Traffic Management Plans, Permit to Work systems, and Emergency Procedures where required.

Environmental Policies & Sustainability

We are committed to reducing environmental impact through sustainable construction practices. This includes on-site recycling of concrete, brick, and hardcore using our crushing and screening services. We ensure responsible waste segregation and disposal in compliance with EA regulations, and we use recycled aggregates wherever possible to reduce our carbon footprint. Additionally, we provide environmental awareness training for all staff to emphasize our commitment to environmental responsibility.

Waste Management

All waste produced by Whiting Construction Ltd is managed responsibly through licensed waste carriers and approved recycling facilities. We ensure duty of care compliance, full traceability, and minimal landfill contribution. Our goal is to achieve zero avoidable waste across all sites through effective planning, segregation, and re-use.

Integrated Service Delivery – WBW Drainage

Working alongside our sister company, WBW Drainage, we provide a fully integrated service covering drain jetting and CCTV drainage surveys, blockages, repairs, and maintenance, as well as new drainage installations and connections.
